One of the most overlooked aspects of the homeless Veteran crisis is the families.  Many of the families become fragmented as the children are sent to stay with family while the Veteran stays in shelters when available, or on the street. Others, while the family may stay intact live in substandard housing, and on the verge of becoming homeless. Vet Comm will offer these families connecting rooms in our Transitional housing area, and when they get stabilized will move them into permanent housing within the community, or help them find permanent housing outside of the community.
